Newsletter October 2013

The general and greens committee have been toiling away while the winter months have come and gone to run your Golf Club. Spring is here with it’s changeable weather, one day hot and dry, next wet and windy. The district looks lush and green and so is the Golf course, so close to having the back nine open but then down comes the rain in buckets again. It will be worth it when the weather finally hardens up a little which will be only a short time now.

TWILIGHT GOLF

golf2

Twilight golf begins on Friday 15th November and the course will be lovely by then so look forward to seeing you on that night. We have a new twilight chef who has lots of new ideas for the menu but still very keenly priced. The entry money remains the same $4 for members and $6 for non members.

CAMP DRAFT DUMBALK

Bill has organised that we run a Camp Draft in conjunction with Stony Creek Football club on 7th and 8th December with the profits shared equally and the workload shared also. Lots of cattle are needed for the events so if you have a load of cattle you can lend us for a few hours, transported by the organisers phone Bill Pratt 0419 092708 or ring Denise at the club who can pass a message on.

CATERING HELP

As you can see lots of thinks coming up pretty soon the catering group is going to be very busy once again. If you are able to help in any way it would be fantastic. Items to be donated are listed in the clubhouse if you or your family are unable to physically help. The catering we are doing is helping to keep the club going however the load is being taken by a very few. So please help , we will not be able to keep the course going without finance.
